Last week we covered Southern Costa Blanca. This week it is the turn of the Costa Blanca North. Where best to invest in the Costa Blanca North region.
Dénia
The most northerly, and one of the largest resorts in the Costa Blanca North is Dénia.
Located just an hour drive from both Alicante and Valencia, Dénia has 15 kilometres of sandy beaches and offers all-year-round rentability on investment properties.
The most popular – and therefore most rentable – beach area is Las Marinas, where apartments near the beach can be purchased for as little as €100,000.
However, in the Les Deveses and Els Molins areas, at the end of Las Marinas beach you could obtain a townhouse for anything from €130,000-€200,000 offering even more for your money.
Moraira
Moraira boasts an attractive seafront with small marina and a main beach at L’Ampolla.
Located between low mountains, the resort was originally a fishing village and retains much of it’s original charm.
A two-bedroom apartment will set you back north of €120,000 but are difficult to0 find. Villas within walking distance of the town are a popular choice, and will cost around €300,000 or more.
More affordable options can be found just ten minutes outside of Moraira in nearby areas such as Benissa Costa, Cumbre del Sol, Los Molinos, Les Fonts or Benitachell.
Calpe
Calpe is famous for the Peñon de Ifach rock formation, which splits the resort into two beaches.
Both beaches have beach-front apartments available, starting at around €150,000 for those looking for beahc living.
Again, more affordable properties are available in the outlying communities of Tosal, Borumbot and La Canuta.
Jávea
Overlooked by Montgó mountain, Jávea is one of the most fashionable resorts in the Costa Blanca.
Famous for its Arenal beach area, apartment prices in that area start from around €150,000 though cheaper properties can be found slightly further inland.
Popular with British expats, the areas of Cap Martí, Tosalet, Cap de la Nau and Balcon al Mar can offer villas with pools from around €300,00.
Jalón
Jalón is a valley known for wine-growing located around 20 minutes inland from the northern Costa Blanca resorts.
Popular with British expats, properties can be found in areas such as Jalón town, Murla, Gata de Gorgos, Parcent, Alcalalí and Lliberaround at around 10-20 per cent cheaper than in the coastal resorts.
Forgetting apartments, €100,000-€150,000 will get you a choice of townhouses, whilst for €200,000 you can look forward to a three-bed detached villa with a pool and country views.
Orba
Next door to Jalón you will find the slightly warmer valley of Orba. More of a citrus rather than wine valley, popular areas include Orba town, Tormos, Sagra, Benidoleig and Pedreguer.
Prices tend to be much the same as the neighbouring valley of Jalón
With all this choice in the Costa Blanca, isn’t it time British overseas property investors dusted off their wallets?
